Special Session Call for Papers:
Special Session: CSC2015-01
Surrogate Modelling in Structural Mechanics
Session Aims and ScopeSoft computing methods can be applied to several fields in Structural Engineering, e.g. prediction of structural responses, reliability assessment, sensitivity analysis, simulation based structural design, structural health monitoring, computational steering, structural control, etc. This special session is focused on the presentation of original papers on Surrogate Modelling in Structural Mechanics e.g. for parameter identification, inverse analysis, optimization, simulation with uncertain data, real time applications. Topics of particular interest include but are not limited to Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (POD), Proper Generalized Decomposition (PGD), Kriging, polynomial response surfaces, support vector machines, design of experiments (DOE). Contributions on theoretical works in Structural Mechanics as well as practical applications are welcome.
For specific questions regarding the scope of this session please contact the organisers:
Please note that papers that are found to fall outside the scope of this session may be considered for other sessions.
To submit abstracts for this special session, please follow the normal abstract submission procedure but please select "CSC2015-S01" when asked "Is this paper part of a special session?"
