CSC2013
The Third International Conference
on Soft Computing Technology in Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy
3-6 September 2013 CSC2013-S01
Soft Computing Applications in Vibration Control and Dynamic Monitoring
organised by Dr G. Quaranta and Prof. G.C. Marano
Technical University of Bari, Italy Session Aims and Scope
This special session would solicit the submission of original papers about the
application of soft computing methodologies (i.e. neural networks, fuzzy logics,
evolutionary computation, metaheuristic and swarm intelligence) in the area of
vibration control and dynamic monitoring. Topics of interest include, but are not
limited to, the following: optimum design of mechanical systems for mitigating
the effects of dynamic loads; optimization of passive, semi-active or active devices
for vibration control; control strategies in active and semi-active devices for
vibration mitigation; optimization of sensor networks; parametric or non-parametric
techniques for mechanical system identification; model updating; damage detection;
diagnostic. Authors are invited to submit unpublished research contributions, case studies and industrial applications.
Organisers
For specific questions regarding the scope of this session please contact the organiser:
Please note that papers that are found to fall outside the scope of this session may be considered for other sessions. Abstract Submission
To submit abstracts for this special session, please follow the normal abstract submission procedure but please select "CSC2013-S01" when asked "Is this paper part of a special session?"
