Referencing papers from Civil-Comp Press Proceedings
Please be careful when you reference papers from Civil-Comp Press conference proceedings.
Researchers, journal editors and librarians appreciate correctly formatted paper references.
If you are preparing articles for journal publication, always follow the instructions given by the journal
publisher regarding the formatting of references. If you are using external programs such as Endnote or BiBTeX
the formatting will depend on which style you choose. Use the following information as a guidance to make
sure you include all necessary information to locate the paper.
Paperback Proceedings prior to 2001
Please use the following template:
A. Author and B. Author, "Paper Title", in Title of the Volume, A. Editor and B. Editor, (Editors), Civil-Comp Press, Edinburgh, United Kingdom, pages #-#, 19##.
To reference for example the third paper of this volume, use the following:
Q.Z. Xiao, P. Boyd and M. Dhanasekar, "Collocation Method for Coupling of FE and EFG", in Computational Mechanics: Techniques and Developments, B.H.V. Topping, (Editor), Civil-Comp Press, Edinburgh, United Kingdom, pages 17-22, 2000.
CD-ROM Proceedings since 2001
Because papers on the CD-ROM proceedings do not have continuous page numbers, the reference is slightly different. Also please note that Civil-Comp Press moved in 2001 and that it is now located in Stirling rather than Edinburgh. Please use the following template:
A. Author and B. Author, "Paper Title", in Title of the Volume, A. Editor and B. Editor, (Editors), Civil-Comp Press, Stirling, United Kingdom, paper #, 19##.
To reference for example the third paper of this volume, use the following:
J.H.M. Tah, V. Carr and S. Hoile, "The IT Concerns of Small and Medium Sized Construction Businesses in the Information Age", in Proceedings of the Eighth International Conference on Civil and Structural Engineering Computing, B.H.V. Topping, (Editor), Civil-Comp Press, Stirling, United Kingdom, paper 3, 2001.
